Fresh new styling was introduced in the 1937 Ford product line. The design theme was a copy of the Lincoln Zephyr introduced the prior year. The front end featured a Vee-type grille, fuller front fenders with flared-in headlamps and front-opening alligator type hood. Windshield featured a two-piece design. Full steel roofs were standard on closed car models. Rear body styling included an integral full-width trunk with a one-piece opening door. Chassis improvements included a redesigned 4-wheel mechanical cable actuated brake system… “with steel from pedal to wheel.” Engine power is the Ford L-head 221 cu.in. V8 rated at 85 hp.
