We attended the Experience at the Gilmore Auto Museum this past weekend with our 1947 Delahaye 135M and took home Best In Show! This was a wonderful show with many beautiful classic cars and we were honored and amazed to come out on top against some very tough competition! Thank you to the judges and all the staff at the Gilmore and the CCCA Museum for a wonderful show! See you next year!
Our Thursday Night Cruise Ins are proving to be a great success! We’ve held 3 shows and nearly doubled the attendance from the first night. What’s even better, over half the people attending have never been here! This is allowing many people who can’t make our regular Open Hours, the opportunity to get a glimpse of the museum and some other great cars! We definitely plan to continue this and making it bigger and better in the future! Check out our Facebook page for more photos!
Our first Thursday Night Cruise In had a great turn-out and thank you to Mother Nature for clearing up the skies and bringing the temp up a tad! We look forward to many more to come!
Our 1924 Marmon 34C Speedster is making it’s way to the 2017 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. Due to potential inclement weather, the organizers have decided to hold the main event on Saturday instead. Check back again for the outcome!
A group of 15 students from Southern Illinois University Carbondale Automotive Technology group held a Q&A session with representatives of the auto industry on Tuesday, March 8. The group started out with a pizza dinner and then moved out to the museum for their tour. Many great questions were asked and they even taught us a thing or two! We look forward to making this an annual event!
Our 1915 ALF Rhino was displayed among many other gleaming and powerful machines at the 2017 Autorama at Cobo Center in Detroit February 24-26. We were able to meet with many attendees and share information about the museum. The first Saturday of March brought many first time visitors who heard about us at Autorama! We are looking forward to next year!
Planning to attend the North American International Auto Show? Stop by and visit us on the lower level! We’ll have 2 of our cars there plus plenty of information regarding the museum. Not going to the show? Come on out to the museum on Thursday, January 19 from 11:00-4:00 and see what everyone else is talking about!
What an amazing 3 days! Our Hat Trick for Heroes event was a booming success! It all began with a gala with special guest Jay Leno who put on a fantastic show and was able to tour the museum with Mary and Ted Stahl. On Veterans Day, we held our 3rd Annual Open House where veterans, their families and all who support them, were invited to tour the museum, buy shirts, hats and dog tags to support our local heroes. We capped off the trio of fundraisers with the Stahls’ hockey team vs. Detroit Red Wing Alumni in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. We are so honored to be able to host these gatherings for our veterans as a way of giving back to those who gave so much for our freedom. All funds raised will be donated to the Disabled American Veterans, Michigan region.
Thank you to all who have served, are currently serving and their families! We will see you next year!
