Parking for the Great Race!

Please note the parking areas in the attached photo. Parking is free. Independent Window Repair is donating a shuttle to the parking areas, please be sure to thank them! We are located in an industrial complex and there are businesses that still need to carry on with their workday. Please respect those businesses by not blocking their entrances or parking in their lots. No parking along Commerce between Gratiot and North Bay, and no parking on North Bay.

The Great Race is almost here!

In just over one week, 120 cars from 1916 to 1972 will be turning in to our parking lot creating one heck of a car show!  The public is welcome to come see these vintage vehicles and meet the drivers and navigators!  El Charros, Marconi’s Pizza and Treat Dreams will be on hand to please your palate as well as other show cars to peruse.  Join us in cheering on Team Stahl on June 30!  Festivities kick off at noon so get here early!  To learn more, click here.

CCCA Experience Concours winner!

We attended the Experience at the Gilmore Auto Museum this past weekend with our 1947 Delahaye 135M and took home Best In Show!  This was a wonderful show with many beautiful classic cars and we were honored and amazed to come out on top against some very tough competition!  Thank you to the judges and all the staff at the Gilmore and the CCCA Museum for a wonderful show!  See you next year!

Thursday Night Cruise Ins are a success!

Our Thursday Night Cruise Ins are proving to be a great success!  We’ve held 3 shows and nearly doubled the attendance from the first night.  What’s even better, over half the people attending have never been here!  This is allowing many people who can’t make our regular Open Hours, the opportunity to get a glimpse of the museum and some other great cars!  We definitely plan to continue this and making it bigger and better in the future!  Check out our Facebook page for more photos!

New Arrivals!

Christmas in March! We had the snow so we might as well get presents! Welcome our newest additions! A beautiful 1925 Renault Model 45 and a 1939 Midget Racer built for William Clay Ford for his 14th birthday! No telling how long these newbies will be on the museum floor so be sure to see them while they are here!

Southern Illinois University Carbondale

A group of 15 students from Southern Illinois University Carbondale Automotive Technology group held a Q&A session with representatives of the auto industry on Tuesday, March 8.  The group started out with a pizza dinner and then moved out to the museum for their tour.  Many great questions were asked and they even taught us a thing or two!  We look forward to making this an annual event!
