Veterans Day Open House and Charity Hockey game 2017

What a wonderful turnout we had for our 4th Annual Veterans Day Open House!  Veterans, their families and those who just wanted to honor our heros with a “thank you for your service” strolled the museum to the sounds of organist Dave Wickerham.  Visitors also had the opportunity of being the first to hear our new 1920 Gaudin Dance Hall Organ play.  We were pleased to partner with Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, Inc. as this years charity.  Veteran Mike Ronan is pictured here with Julie, his pup he received from Guardian Angels.  Mike told his very touching story to our guests and we so happy to hear how Julie turned his life around.  We thank all who donated and hope to see you all again next year!

1911 Oldsmobile Autocrat

The newest arrival! 1911 Oldsmobile Autocrat “Yellow Peril”

1911 Oldsmobile Autocrat

Stop in the museum and see the latest addition!  A 1911 Oldsmobile Autocrat nicknamed “Yellow Peril”, this brass racer was purchased new in 1911 by John Henry Greenway Albert.  The Autocrat was the “junior” model of the Olds Limited but it was not its junior by much, the T-head four was essentially a Limited engine but with two less cylinders, being capable of displacing 500 cubic inches, and the tires spanned 38 inches across.  This vehicle has participated and won many races in it’s time and has toured many areas across the US.  Yellow Peril retains its original engine, drivetrain, and its original racing bodywork.  The “mother-in-law” seat was added in later years.

Pebble Beach 1909 Austin

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2017

Pebble Beach 1909 Austin

Our 1909 Austin was among the chosen for the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.  We proudly accepted and displayed her on the famed 18th fairway on August 20th.  She was the largest vehicle in our circle of 10 with a 140″ inch wheelbase and was a crowd favorite.  We were please to meet so many new friends and to catch up with old ones.  Even though the Austin did not win an award, we left with smiles on our faces and as the Hollywood saying goes, “It was an honor being nominated!”  Click here to check out more photos on our Facebook page!
